Have an old 96 Rav 4 3 door auto as above and its been brilliant, my wife loves it, so easy to drive, just point and go, and utterly reliable
However, the time has come to update it and Toyota stopped making the 3 door model around 2004. Pity. We looked at a 5 door rav 4 but its too big.
so would appreciate others ideas and feedback please, must be
3 door
similar style to Rav 4
automatic
07 plate up to 11 plate
Thanks in advance

If you're RAV4 is still working why not keep it?0

I've got the 55 reg RAV 4 5 door auto. Not much bigger than the 3 door and great to drive except for the atrocities fuel consumption and road tax.0

It's just old....runs well but a bit tired looking.0 -
My wife also loved her T reg 3 door RAV4 and was sorry to see it go but the horrendous fuel consumption meant it had to.
Despite having a couple of different cars since then she has not found anything she liked as much.
I will be interested to see what you replace it with OP.0 -
I had a 98 3dr RAV4 MK1 auto. Brilliant car, I haven't found anything that comes near it. Technically it was brilliant- full time 4wd with an automatic (hydraulically operated) centre diff lock, not one of those viscous units like the MK2, or the pretend 4wd set-ups of the competition.
It would sail over speed humps and what passes for "roads" too.
The Later GrandVitara 3dr is close, although they had a weird centre differential, the shogun pinin isn't bad but they rust and rust and rust, same goes for the Terios.
I still regret selling mine....I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Just keep it until it drops!!
"A bit tired looking" is not a good reason to replace a willing trusty workhorse. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
