Hi, any techie experts in video playback out there? Trying to play back video footage (and photos) taken by son's new drone present. The first video (which shows as an .AVI format played back brilliantly via Windows Media Player, but the subsequent three videos that he took won't play back, message says they're not supported. Also, the Windows Media Player (or Photos) won't show any of the photos he took, same problem, says they're not recognised. Any ideas gratefully received, one upset child :-(
Thanks, Tabs

Download VLC - that will play almost anything. BTW are all the video files labelled as .avi?0

Have you tried VLC?
If not, download the free version from here. It plays most video formats.
That link is safe. I have used it many times over the years.
Edit: Scousers have the best ideas.

Thanks very much for your replies. I have downloaded VLC but unfortunately it still won't show the .JPG photos or play any other videos apart from the first one. The other videos are all showing as .AVI format.
Maybe have to try taking the drone out again tomorrow and shooting some new footage. Have been trying to play back on my Lenovo laptop, it's a bit old, so maybe programs are just incompatible with each other? Thanks for trying to help me. Tabs x0 -
Could you post one of the problem files somewhere I can download it? I'll have a look at it if you like.0

That's really kind, thank you. However, my son has just deleted the problem videos and the photos, so we plan to try again tomorrow with a clear memory on the card. If it happens again tomorrow, I can try and download one for you to take a look at, that would be brilliant! Many thanks, Tabs :-)0

OK. I'd suggest reformatting the memory card to be make sure it's completely clear before trying again.0

Could be the memory card isn't the actual size it's reporting to be, happened to one of mine recently, so it only has space for the one vid and the headers for the other files. Look for Fakeflashtest to check the mem card, I'd put a quid on it not being of the right capacity...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
