Auracall Traveltalk mobile SIM

Using my mobile overseas i usually get a global SIM. The last one, MSE recommended, was brilliant and worked all the way to NZ and back. I could not find the company this time so looked again at MSE and saw Auracall Traveltalk SIm was being recommended. I bought one (£50), put it in the mobile I keep for travelling (Samsung S3 with factory default software up to date and nothing else) and tried the SIM before leaving the UK. I called and texted a Canadian mobile in Vancouver - worked as advertised with no issues. Off we went to flag Dubai - the SIM would not work coming up with strange error messages. Arrived Malaysia still the same error messages. Contacted Auracall by email - they are very quick to respond. Over several days they came up with some quite complex suggestions some of which required me to select settings which just are not available on my mobile - or indeed others we looked at. Eventually I gave up. Back in the UK Auracall did not want to know. It took 3 weeks before they came up with a response about faulty SIMs (which it was not as it worked in the UK!). I also alerted MSE but they ignored me
. Having pointed out that it is not fit for purpose they have gone quiet. Looks like I will have to take them to the small claims court to get my money back. Reading some old threads on the forum looks like Auracall have history - so why is MSE recommending them still? Bottom line don't go near Auracall.
