  • M&S custard with cream tasted metallic. Don't know why I bought it as have always made it myself. Lesson learned.

    Mr S Sprouts were lovely
All that clutter used to be money
  • The roast spuds were the best!:A

  • My L&M wasn't keen on the pigs in blankets, he said they were too big as they were chipolatas and not cocktail sausages, this morning I solved the problem, I cut them all in half!
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Best was the lamb, slowed cooked all night in red wine , carrots and onion.
Worst was the gravy with Yorkshires, we all detected a soap flavour when these two were combined. Separately they were fine, very odd.

Best bit: I got one/bothered. It's easy to not bother.
Worst bit: I had to go out and buy it all, then cook it all.
  • I was lucky as my smashing DD and son in law do all the cooking so I get the time to sit and talk or play with my DGS. Nothing went wrong and the dinner was gorgeous. Ate far too much, and need a good walk to feel more comfortable now though.

DD buys 8 scratch cards and every year we all have one each and one left over which she says is for my late OH . We all take it in turns to see if we have won, and this year I won £2.00 :).bit of fun really and we don't normally bother with them for the rest of the year. They are the hospital ones so the funds go to a good cause.

Tonight we are off to my eldest DDs for a bit of a 'family open house do' then tomorrow it will be relaxing and getting over things :):):)

Enjoy the rest of your Christmas breaks everyone what ever you are doing

  • The best was the roast potatoes cooked with black pepper and a little garlic

The worst was the washing up as everyone was so full and fell asleep. Left me to it

Everything was lovely, but the Brussels were bitter. The best bits were the roast potatoes, I did them in beef dripping for a change -delicious.
  • Best part for me was going to bessie friend's for lunch so didn't need to cook at all, made a fab change! :j
