Cavity Wall Insulation - is it free?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but someone informed me that you can get free cavity wall insulation if you have a child under 5?

Does anyone know if this is true please?

There's the Warm Front scheme which may help, as long as you qualify then they'll carry out a range of measures to your home.

Thats not on the normal list of reasons to get it fitted for free, but some local councils do offer it for people with kids under 5.

though it may not be totally up to date so check you local councils website

Sorry but income is also taken into account even when you get certain benefits, think its 15.5k. WFTC can push you above the threshold for example, why, because it happened to me and only because we got a very small CTB did we get a grant
