I have just had a very successful wombling adventure to the shops.

Went to Card Factory to do my annual 'Stocking up on Christmas gear'

6 rolls of wrapping paper for £1 (previously 3 for £1) Saving £1

    2 x 3 pack of wrapping paper for £1.98 (previously £1.99 each) Saving £2

Pack of 50 Christmas cards for 99p (previously £1.99) saving £1

Then in the till at Mr T's there was a receipt with 6 clubcard points on it and a 5p in the change drawer (till kill?)

Total £4.05 (won't count the receipt until I cash it in)

Wow Foxy! Balley good start girl!!!

I'm also out of the trap with train ticket savings for two skid journeys in January bought in advance with a friends and family discount card totalling £75.70. So glad I got this card when it was a Tesco Clubcard deal. I didn't count these savings last year, but feel like I can/should as the skids make this journey to us twice a month at least.

Happy New Year to all my fellow wombles xxx

    Hello
I'd like to join again this year, last years total was up to £141.25 before i stopped/forgot to track the amount, but still continued YS hunting - i can't walk past reduced food if i know it is going to be something i will eat/use. A few months ago there was an entire pallet load of T cherry tomatoes at 5p a pack - i picked up 19 packs to freeze in place of the tinned alternative!

This year i am going to use the price of the item i would normally buy against the reduction price, as most of the time i wouldn't have bought the original, non YS item in the first place!

Unfortunately, our second freezer died this year and we lost the entire contents  (in a rental property with no replacement clause), so i have to be a bit more restrained on picking up bargains, and eating through the stores this year!

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Out of the starting block for me with 25 Mr T Clubcard points for filling in their survey. I've also added a reminder to Google Calendar at the start of each month as I often forgot which month I had or hadn't done the survey in, should be easier this way! Now I just need to remember to hang on to a receipt towards the end of each month XD

    Total: £0.25

    What a good idea.:T
