Had a good one today. Found two Ercol style chairs that had nothing wrong with them just sitting outside a house that was being renovated. The builders confirmed they were rubbish, so I took them back to my lair
That will save me at least £30.
I also found 52p.
I meant to ask if anyone else had wombled Mr S reciepts at the weekend? They were doing triple points as standard. I managed to grab a few high pointers." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I can tell this is going to be great! I'm going to dive on in.
Although the debt is scary, I am quite excited about the sense of achievement in tackling it - and rather than looking for a way to shift a huge amount immediately, gaining huge satisfaction from making lifestyle changes that I am in control of.
Last night we ate a delicious meal, all from food we already had in the kitchen and freezer - not exactly rocket science, but I can't ever remember doing that. We also didn't buy a bottle of wine. I did the maths recently, and I think I could save £3000 a year on wine.
Anyway, I'll stick to wombling on here. It occurred to me that saving on bus fare by running home is great, but not really wombling. So I'll deduct that £1.60 from yesterday's total. Once I've done a month I'll add it to my signature.
Thanks all for the welcome and the support.0 -
£1.69 on YS chicken yesterdayHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Kumamon - why don't you save the bus fare and join another of the challenges, maybe PAD (payment a day) or the SPC/VSPC (sealed/virtual sealed pot challenge) to keep a record of the growing saving? You could build up an emergency fund by stealth using little amounts that you probably wouldn't miss day to day...ignore me if this doesn't appeal

Good idea, Dizzy Imp - I think I am going to try Wombling, SPC, and Make £5 a day. I'm getting myself a good spreadsheet on the go.
Sugarbaby125 - can I ask you what '#13 current total' refers to?

Kumamon welcome to the wonderful world of Wombling.

#13 current total = is my year to date total and 13 is my number on the leader board on the first page of this thread. I try to update my total each day. We started on the 1st January 2017. There are so many different ways to be MSE when we have to spend money, but I find that when I am recording the ways in which I get 'free' money, 'free' goods or make a really good saving make me feel immense satisfaction.0
