Because it creates a profitable market for people who believe in credit scores to help fund the CRAs. This has been explained to you on many of your previous posts.
If scores meant anything, lenders would use them and they don't.0 -

I appreciate banks etc dont look just at the score but multiple things. However these scores must be of some significance or why would they exist and why would this website give tips on how to improve it if its irrelevant?

They don't look at score because they are not even offered to look at the score. What score is for is exactly what it did to you - con you into 15quid/month to watch it. Nothing more.0

Haven't you hoisted it in yet OP.
You don't have a credit score. What you have is a credit history, and from what you say, yours is not a very good history.
You should working to improve your credit history. Which is entirely in your hands. Improving your fictitious credit score is in the hands of the people who make it up.The system they use seems to be "think of a number and halve it" Ignore it. You are only one who sees it.0 -

For a score of 35 you must have something adverse, such as defaults, late payments, etc on your file. Or perhaps a financial link listed to someone who does.
The only acceptable amount of defaults/late payments is Zero. Anything else will significantly impact your access to mainstream credit.0 -

Since then however yes, even £100 loan applications were denied, and I was not approved for a Barclay's current account.
Again, I expect it to be low, but can't help think 35 is excessive!
Then don't do anything at all. Other than to sort out your existing financial issues. Over time the score will improve.0
