park watch / tesco arena stores and retail park

I have tried to look through the newbies threads about it and it just ges over my head with the abbreviations etc and I'm lost, so forgive me
I was parked in the retail park by Tesco Arena in Coventry. I was there parked for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. I do not come from Coventry so I wasn't aware that there was a football match on the same day. I came out of the parking bay and got stuck in traffic for around 40 minutes! It took longer to get out the car park than it did to get back home. It was the traffic that put me over the time allowed and I wasn't parked up . I'm guessing they take the pictures going in and out of the car park and not while you're actually parked.
I have now however, received a letter off Park watch saying they have issued me ith a PCN because my vehicle was parked in a manner whereby the driver became liable for a parking charge, It says they are offering a discounted charge of £60 if paid within 14 days in not its £100.
Please can someone advise as to what I can do about this, I know I have to appeal against this and make a complaint but what can I put in the letter so that it sounds like I know what I am talking about?

How easy does this have to be? You will need to be able to get to grips with this stuff to avoid either paying, having up to 6 years of hassle or defending a court claim.
There is no easy quick fix - unless you put in the leg work. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it's the way it is.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The NEWBIES thread will also state that the first action is to complain to the retailer(s).
If you were held up leaving that is frustration of contract but that's one of the terms you will learn.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0 -
and who exactly are park watch?
https://bmpa.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203753731-Defence-Systems-Ltd
NOTE:
the ticket has been issued by parkwatch company number 08798058 who are not in any recognised parking ATA , however the ticket will have been passet to defence systems company number 08047971 they will have obtained your info and passed it back to a NON ATA company , Parkwatch are unable to offer an independent appeal system , as they are not in a ATA
2 problems here
1: inregulated company threatening court
2: ATA member passing details on to a non ATA member
now all this bull about "trading as" , ok , but a company that is trading as , uses it parents company number and nota seperate entitySave a Rachael

Another case of misuse of data under the KADOE contract if this is correct. Under this contract only an ATA member is entitled to use this data.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0

correct and happening all the time , needs clarification by companies house and the dvla after new year , parkwatch seem to be on one at the moment , multiple cases
you can trade as , but you must use the perent companies number , if you have your own number you are a seperate companySave a Rachael

when a company apples for details from the DVLA by electron ic means or manual access they have to state the company name , company number (if applicable) and their ATA number , so whos info was used to get info from the DVLA , defence systems! but parkwatch who issued the ticket are not a ATA , so defence systems are pressing charges in their own name with a false company number on the signs ,Save a Rachael
