Maybe this job isn't for me then.

And I honestly didn't know about the ccj hence me stating about it today and paying for a credit check. Like I stated I've been ill as in depressed and stuff got on top of me and I've not been managing well financially and was just being honest.
Didn't need to be judged for being honest.

CTC, SC and DV are to do with jobs involving national security not an admin role at the Passport Office.


Do you work at a Government agency at all??

What job is it for ? Don't quit till it's over.

Worked for a 'private sector' airline passport checking national minimum wage not so long back - did not require credit check but did 5 years of employment to the best of my knowledge.

Some of the views on here are outdated. (With the exception of financial services)

Be honest with them, inform them about the CCJ and see what happens.

No I previously managed a railway station before I became ill . And that's when I got my ccj and I and am still paying this and have never missed a payment

Technically they are to do with the level of access to classified or confidential information an admin person at the passport office could still warrant clearance depending on their level of access. If this person has access to for example passport photos then they could well need a check.

Most people have debt, credit cards, overdrafts, a couple of grand isn't exactly going to set off alarm bells, even with DV they still allow someone to have unsecured debt its more about how manageable it is.

What hasn't covered is BPSS its more than likely basic clearance you will need therefore worth mentioning your CCJ.

The BPSS check is the default employee screening standard used for anyone working within or on behalf of a government department and is a basic entry-level standard that organisations in several sectors, including communications, energy and finance are expected to meet.

So do you think I should call them and say I've discovered I've a ccj I am being honest her, I truly didn't know I'm sorry if people find this unbelievable but I didn't .
