Looking to find out eligibility for a new credit card and was wondering which companies allow you to do an eligibility soft search?
Tried the one here and it all looks ok, just wanted to see a fuller list before deciding.

A few days ago I tried the eligibility checker for a new Virgin credit card. It responded that I would be accepted if I completed the full online application.
I completed this and was immediately accepted with a decent credit limit. Have now had a couple of emails from them confirming all this and expecting the card in 7 to 10 days.
The first check was a soft search with no CRA checks until the actual application.0 -
Barclaycard and MBNA have their own soft search eligibility checkers.
Besides MSE eligibility checker. Others I'm aware of are;

or sign up to https://www.clearscore.com and use their eligibility checker0 -

TotallyMoney is NOT using soft search. I tried and it appeared on my Noodle profile. My credit score is lowered because of this.0 -

As your score is made up and meaningless, I wouldn't worry about itSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Both hard AND soft searches appear on your credit file. But soft searches can't be seen by lenders.
Credit Scores go up and down all the time. Best advice is not to worry about credit scores. Just concentrate on checking your credit history is accurate.0
