Yes- sorry, another one of those posts.
Firstly, my dad died very suddenly on the 3rd of this month so as far as I was concerned Christmas was cancelled this year as I just couldn't face it. He did however love this time of year.
After some thought and having had the funeral I set about trying to find a Christmas tree and wanted one of the tree's that were grown in pots. None of my local stores had one so I tried Amazon and lo' and behold they had them, in stock and as I have prime- no problem, next day delivery.
As soon as I got the confirmation email to state it had been dispatched on the 20th via Yodel I knew this wasn't going to go well. It's now the 22nd and no tree- unlikely to be delivered before Xmas is the response from Amazon Customer Service who have been spectacularly useless it has to be said.
I honestly don't know why I tried.

Sorry about your loss.
Can you look at the humour in the situation? Yodel are trying to make sure Christmas really is cancelled for you. That sort of thing?0 -
Also sorry you have had this experience but I have found the Amazon/Yodel combination very reliable and quick where I live.
Have you tracked online where it is?0 -
It's at the local delivery depot but of course I can't go and collect it later as they've not made a delivery attempt.I am a Mortgage Adviser

If it's in the local depot what makes you think that they won't try to deliver it on any of today, tomorrow or Saturday?0

I was told by Amazon that there's a delay and it's likely not to arrive until after Christmas.I am a Mortgage Adviser

That doesn't seem to make any sense when it is already at the depot and out of Amazon's hands. Why can't you contact Yodel to ask if it will be delivered, and if it won't whether they will allow you to go to the depot and collect it?
