    Have good days all xx
  • Morning everyone,

A later check in from me. Playing catch up as I had yesterday off work. I get the feeling everyone is slowly beginning to wind down now.

Yesterday I had the opticians which went well and I then picked up flowers to give to my DM for her birthday which she loved. I had a pretty chilled out evening and caught up on The Apprentice then had an early night.

I've no plans tonight but I can see an early night on the cards again. We'll see if I feel more motivated later.

Coxy - Indeed your sister does sound incredibly strong. An inspiration.
TA - I hope Mr TA feels better soon.
  • Afternoon all
Just got home from DD2's with her youngest two, DD1 has taken the older two home with her. I need to collect DD2 from work at 3, drop her home and collect my L&M and take him to the Drs, I've managed to get some more washing done and got my veg and fruit for the weekend.
Tomorrow I am ferrying my L&M to and from the pub at lunch but I'm hoping to be child free, Saturday I'm taking DD2 shopping, what a time for her car to die!
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Good afternoon chums ,still hacking a bit at the moment ,I am so hoping the cough will stop by Saturday. DD is at work also her OH so I am looking after the boys today. They have been really good bless them and the youngest Mikey has been a real little champ, bringing me cups of tea every half an hour.

Tomorrow afternoon I have the hairdressers to have a cut and blow dry its well overdue a cut and I hate it when it gets long and floppy as it is at the moment. Then eldest DD is picking me up and she is driving us both up to Hertford for Saturday mornings wedding at the Town Hall We are staying up there at a hotel overnight so I won't have to rush around in the morning . Her in-laws (the other granparents are been driven up there tomorrow afternoon as well so we will all be having dinner together tomorrow night.
My youngest DD and family are travelling up at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning, hopefully the traffic will be OK.

It will be an exciting, if long day for us all, then home in the afternoon for a short rest then back to London where we are out for a meal in the evening. Christmas day the next day and lots of too-ing and fro-ing between my two Dds for the following week. I hope to eventually get back to my own bed in early January :):):)

Much as I enjoy all the excitement I shall also enjoy things getting back to 'normal' again:) I am a creature of habit I'm afraid and I do like routine :)

TA sound like a good plan to re-arrange your OH appointment if you can.
Dumpling you are doing brilliantly honey and have come on in leaps and bounds this year, well done
Lainey you too deserve a medal with all of your worries and Coxy your sis sounds like an amazing lady
Speky you are being very sensible and having an early night will do you a lot of good
H/H child free day :)what a luxury for such a busy lady

Tru its been a pleasure to see the carols every day, well done for taking the time

If I don't get a chance owing to all the rushing around please can I wish you all a very Happy and peaceful Christmas and to those who are struggling at the moment I send you ally best wishes as Christmas is a hard time for many folk

Love to all of my many 'virtual' friends on here

Afternoon from a very wet, windy and chilly Mid-Argyll.

Final teaching for this year was fine, though I can't understand how four 18 year youths are so unenergetic and unmotivated. The others are fine. Anyway, I made them happy by telling them that they didn't have to do numeracy next semester, made me happy too!

Then I posted a small parcel to a friend, swooshed round the local shop for some odds and sods just in case I don't get away for Christmas. Also got loads of frozen veg, collected my box of lamb and stuck them all in the freezer. I went out again to take the piles of cardboard to the tip, there's still the freezer wrappings to go but they'll have to wait for the trailer.

I've stocked up the living room with two bags of logs as well as those in the big pot and fed the blooming birds. We had a 30 second power-cut a few minutes ago which doesn't bode well for the rest of the weekend.

Hope you have a good time JackieO and Snoozer.

    Cup of tea time.

Afternoon folks. Mr TA was so unsteady when he got up I told him I was cancelling his appointment in Leeds. There's no way he could have coped with busy trains and buses. It now arranged for next Thursday instead. He is supposed to have the injection every 28 days but it can't be helped. It'll mean he'll probably suffer the side effects over Christmas but that can't be helped.

He was up vomiting a few times in the night but there has been nothing since and by lunchtime he said he felt slightly better. In fact he had a bowl of chicken soup so must be slowly on the mend. Although he is now snoring away again on the big sofa. I am putting all this down to the winter vomiting virus and if I come down with it over Christmas it's quite possible I might just scream!!

No plans for this afternoon, other than being lazy, but tomorrow morning I must tackle a top to bottom clean! Enjoy the rest of your day all and JACKIE, if you don''t get on here again, have a lovely time at the wedding and a brilliant Christmas. xx

  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

A quick trip to melton this morning for a couple of things OH needed a battery in his gold watch and a new strap on his old one.

My new mobile is driving me silly. It wouls appear that at some point I put in a pass word and now cannot remember which one I used. I have tried all combinations of my pass words, nowt, and it locks me out for an hour each time...ggrrhhhh. It looks like it will have to go back to Samsung for them to unlock it.

My ex has refused to even consider moving from where he is, so he can get on with living in a pig sty, he always was a pain in the a***. DD1 has said if they send him home she will fetch him for Christmas lunch, how he is going to manage the stairs....well your guess is as good as mine. I have given up. He is not my problem anymore.

We were supposed to be carol singing tonight, but I am too tired, so they will have to manage without us. Apart from anything else its very cold out there, its been a really fine day, so guess we will have frost again tonight.

No need to go out until Sunday, I will throw the duster at the sitting room tomorrow and thats it. Decs will be down and away on Boxing day.
