Maybe or maybe not next door to a takeaway

No it's not cheap. Houses don't come up often on this road and the price and the standard reflect that,
It's had extensive remodelling, extending, loft conversion and electrical rewiring, yes. Whilst I agree, these changes could in theory be made on any property, I don't have the time or inclination or funds to do this myself. The space this property offers irrespective of those changes is a lot better than any of the other places I've seen, too. Other similar properties in the area have had planning permissions rejected, like for like. So whether I actually could replicate this house within the walls of another is totally unknown.
I don't want to move the house, location is 95% perfect, more so if the place next does converts back to a house. I want the place next door to be converted back to a house!

They could be waiting to see if anyone buys the house you are interested in before starting residential works on it. If someone moves into the modernised house it is more of an incentive to modernise the takeaway also.
Can you find out who owns it and have a word0
