Advice needed re posting a signature image on another forum.

Hi Folkes,

I am a member of a forum supplied by http://z4.invasionfree.com

I have uploaded an avatar from my pictures (win xp o/s) but don't seem to have the same option for a signature picture.

Once I sign into edit signature I get the message...You must enter a URL You must enter a title:confused:

As my pictures are not on websites does this mean that I can't have them as a signature?

My two options available seem to be,

1. Insert Hyperlink (alt+h) or,

2. IMG [img][/img]http://www.dom.com/img.gif

Hope someone might advise, in layman's terms PLEASE;)

Thanks.

  • yeah, generally sigs are hosted on another site using IMG tags as you note. Your ISP may offer some free webspace or there are plenty of free image hosts out there where you can just upload a pic.

However not all forums allow pictures in sigs.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

Certainly people use them on the one in question, so, hopefully, I may be able to join them soon:j

My only remaining question is that if I upload pic's onto "photobucket" can anyone "out there" access them (i.e. is this photo sharing?):o

If so I might not bother:rolleyes:

Thanks for the advice, it's appreciated;)
