The hotel chains director of operations has asked for my details so he can contact the PE legal team, once my application has been submitted.

    That's good, right?

Any advice on creating the application?

Have you asked PE not to contest your application? Or, ask him (Hotel Manager) to forward something by email NOW, today TO YOU, requesting exactly that, so you can forward that email to PE immediately, asking them to 'not contest' the set aside in Claim Number XXXXXXX.

DO NOT RELY ON HIM DOING THIS FOR YOU. YOUR FINGERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN BURNED THAT WAY. YOU NEED TO DO THIS.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You might want to put it this way. You were given a promise that the hotel failed to deliver.

Parking charges are based on promises the drivers don't deliver (by leaving on time)

Both result in torts which leads to damages. ParkingEye's is a couple of hundred pounds. Your's runs into thousands so it is in the Hotel's interest to a) get the CCJ removed and b) compensate you for harassment / failure to deliver on their promise.

Perhaps that puts SRM's comments in context.
