Radiator Problem

We had a new central heating system installed by BG in March. Since we started using the heating in September one of the radiators needs bleeding once a week. I've had BG out three times and the engineer just said it's teething problems, could be the inhibitor getting round the system and told me to keep bleeding it and it would settle down. It hasn't it's still the same, I'm going to get them out again after Christmas but I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be and if it is just with it being a new system. Thanks.

Where is the radiator? Upstairs or downstairs? Which room? Whilst bleeding the radiator, some water would have eventually bled out. Did you notice a strange colour?
Does the boiler make a strange noise whilst it's pumping?0 -

Hi, it's just a small one in the hall (bungalow), the only one without the thermostat valve, I've just bled it and the water was clear. It only needs bleeding for a few seconds then it's ok. After a week the right side won't heat up, always the same place.
When you say the right side, you mean just the top right, bottom right or the whole of the right. It's strange if it's just one side that isn't heating up.0 -
If it's the bottom it's a symptom of sludge build up. Pretty strange for a relatively new system.0

Also have you made sure to top up the pressure every time you bled the rad?0

It's pretty much the whole of the right side, the engineer said it wasn't sludge and the pressure is ok, I keep checking that. He just keeps saying it's nothing just give it time, but I think how much time and it doesn't seem to have happened to anyone else I have asked. I'll wait until after the holidays and get them out again. Thanks.0

Tbh it sounds like the BG engineering has no idea what he's talking about. Give it time? The last thing you want to do is knacker the boiler's pump as it will be pumping some air, which it isn't designed to do.
You need to be a bit forceful with these guys. Try get a second opinion from a local plumber. Don't ask him to do any work yet, call him out to assess the issue. Then get back in touch with BG and tell them you got a second opinion and that you're not happy with their service and unless the sort the issue out under the cover for which you are paying and they are obliged to sort out, then you will cancel it.0 -
Yes, that's what I am going to do and I won't be taking out their boiler and central heating cover next year. Thanks for your help.0
