Received County Court Claim from Debt Collector of PCN..

Hi!

Could do with a little advice on thwarting these thieves, please..

Parking Patrol slapped a ticket on my partner's car while she was picking up the kids from swimming, for being parked in the pick up zone. Apparently they did this at 20:04 on 13/10/15. She says she doesn't remember this and we have just ignored the PCN's from Parking Patrol, not acknowledging them at all. It seems things have changed slightly in this time and they have now sold the debt to a company called MIL Collections Ltd, who have applied for a CCJ. The cost of the charge now being £235.00.

We need to supply a defence at this point, although we have still to acknowledge this in any way.

Any suggestions on the best method of defence?

All help and advice appreciated.

This is one of 4 PCN issues currently ongoing, one with Parking Eye which I am battling after they demanded £150 for my staying 10 minutes over the free allotted period, even though I am sure I paid on my return to my car, of which I have no proof, and another Parking Patrol ticket received when the machine wouldn't accept our coins and we had no time to wait. In total we are talking about 30 minutes parking unpaid for which 2 separate companies are trying to extort nearly £500 from us. It is legal theft and I am determined not to pay any of them.

Thanks again.

parking eye do not "demand" £150

I suggest you enter the word "MIL" or "mil collections" on bith this forum and pepipoo

there are serious problems with the MIL cases , mainly the fact that a parking Co is breaking DVLA rules by selling on a debt

I,m not going to link you to cases , you can search yourself

please start a seperate thread for the PE case and you will get immediate help

  • Fair to say I don't 'think' anything of the sort, just looking at options, and still looking.

MIL cases are relatively easy to defend. Do the search pappa golf suggests.

Start a new thread about your ParkingEye one.

I can't comment about ParkingCowboys but 'they' (Parking Cowboys as such) don't get involved in cases per se.

  • Yeah, I've read a bit more now. Honestly the first chance I've had to address these issues since they appeared a couple of weeks ago, and that's only because I've finished for Christmas and am now flapping about in a panic.

It's a poor show all ends up. Thanks to all.

Think I've got the MIL thing sorted.

Somewhere, something rings a bell about No I collections and a possible batch of the data protection act by the original parking company and who ever took the parking company on
