I have a BT landline with 'unlimited anytime calls' a package I have had for years.

When the 'unlimited anytime calls' package was introduced it included 200 free texts per month; however I never used that facility.

My landline phones are text enabled, and I decided I would use that facility to reply to the texts my children send us; albeit I rarely instigate text messages, even on a mobile.

Before I did so, I rang BT( a UK call centre answered) who confirmed that my package still had 200 free texts per month.

However I have just noticed on my itemised bill that each text costs 10.5p. So I rang BT again(this time getting an Indian call centre) and after 20 minutes on the phone I have absolutely no idea if the charge is correct or not - and neither has the call centre operator!!

So my question! Is the 10.5p charge correct or a mistake?
