Got a link to Google maps of the junction?

These are images from the scene I cannot work out how to link from Google Street maps.

This is a picture of how my car was sitting. I was going straight ahead and the car was on the left behind the yellow box. To the right was where the rest of the traffic was.
The arrow for straight ahead is where the car was sitting and just ahead was where the rest of the traffic was and the traffic lights just ahead. I went from the right to the left.
This is an image of the car where I was basically sitting.
When I moved the lights were on red and he had nowhere to go and the lights changed as I was moving accross him and he then moved into me.0 -
Probably not the best but the postcode is DD1 1EQ the St I was going on to is Bell st0

Just because the lights have turned in your favour or a box-junction exit has cleared, that doesn't give the right to pull away from rest and drive into the back of someone in the way? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. That's my argument but insurance company are saying because he was on the "main road" then they still blame me. Which then leads to the question of how am I then meant to leave the junction. I've been at that junction several times and have still left the same way as I did that day.0 -
It's a difficult case and far from clear cut. Both sides have arguments as to why or how the other party was negligent. Given that he went into the back of your car there would certainly be some pertinent questions for him as to how he didn't see you. The potential criticism on your part is obvious, but again even if the lights had just turned to green there are four or five cars that needs to move before his way is clear, so there is an argument that he shouldn't be moving forward when he did at all.
It is clearly one that could go either way at trial, depending on the view of the judge and how good each driver is as a witness. But of course in order for it to get to trial at all your insurer has to be willing to fight it, which they seem unwilling to do. I can see the frustration on your part, but ultimately it's not your decision."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -
Which traffic lights are you referring to?
The ones I can see (both to the left and the right) are too far away to reliably control traffic at the box junction, IMHO.0
