Company Changes it's name - Illegal?

Might not be the right place for this but i need some quick advice from anyone who knows anything about this.
1) I start the legal proceedings against AAA Studios Ltd
2) I find out there are other court cases of a similar nature against AAA Studios Ltd.
3) AAA Studios Ltd changes it's name to BBB 45 Ltd, transferes assets into a new company called AAA Ltd and liquidates BBB 45 Ltd
This must surely be illegal? It's a very obvious example of trying to protect assets for impeding court cases.
Can anyone share thoughts on this?
