Non alcoholic wines are very nice. I drink them when we go to friends and I'm driving. Look exactly the same as normal wine so no-one should be any wiser ;)

Penny watcher - I am sooooo stupid I read that as 'local' at first lol. :D
However Penny & hjb - I don't think I would like either of those as I don't like fizzy drinks. I can't stand the 'fizzy' feeling. I don't drink anything sparkling or carbonated. :)
    Thanks for the suggestions though!

Kaya - I don't see it as poison. I love nothing more than a nice baileys or disaronna on ice after a long day.
Or a nice glass of wine with my evening meal.

However as I said earlier I don't feel strange for not drinking, I can manage that quite fine, I am just trying not to draw attention to myself for not drinking when I can usually put away quite an amount! I don't want to be in the situation where people realise I'm not drinking and ask why because I don't feel ready to explain to people that I am on medication as they will no doubt ask what for and I don't want to be going down that road just yet, that's all.

Shelley - Can you vouch for that then? :) I always think of alcohol free wine to be the equivalent of sugar free chocolate - and we know that is never quite the same! :)

Yeah I can!! I used to drink it when on weightwatchers and when I was pregnant. Only brand I would recommend as tasting like normal wine is Eisberg.....see link http://www.eisberg.co.uk/ I can't tell you though if it was Riesling or Chardonnay I tried, I just pick up the first bottle I see but I know it wasn't the Rose. Haven't tried the Rose so can't comment on it.

Only other brand of non alcoholic wine Iv'e tried is Sainsburys own.....yuck!! don't go there :rotfl:
