Hi
I've got this quote for the installation of a new GlowWorm Ultimate2 30kw combi boiler (seen varying prices from around £660 to nearly £800.)
In addition to the above boiler I will get:
- a new flue approx 12-15 foot in length
- the old boiler removed
[EDIT] I forgot to mention total installation price including boiler - £1790.
Thanks in advance.

What's your location, any pipework alterations, gas pipe alterations, does that include power flush and a magnaclean or similar filter???0

@Plumber90. I am in Scotland.
There will be no pipework alterations as far as I'm aware. I can't see any mention of powerflush or magnaclean just a reference to 'drain down heating system.' The engineer almost mentioned something about setting up a wireless control - not sure if that comes as standard, though.
Thanks.0 -

Not powerflushing an existing system is asking for trouble, the goal of any manufacturer's warranty engineer is to make their call chargeable, water quality is the easiest excuse, so I am sorry I disagree.
I also disagree that heating installers are quiet after Christmas, January, February and March are coldest months so the engineers are busy, put it this way, if you need a new boiler in January and you everyone you speak to says they can't fit you in for a week or too, are you likely to get the keenest price.0
