Dell laptop customize accessories query.

With the New Year sales looming I'll be looking to buy a new laptop and quite like the look of this.....

I noticed that if bought online, Dell are offering these extras....

If you are buying a replacement PC, Notebook or Netbook, you will need Transfer MyPC with Application Mover to migrate all appropriate applications, settings and files from your old computer! Transfer MyPC with Application Mover is the smart, easy and fast solution to migrate all of what you need from your old system onto your new Dell. NO technical knowledge is required and everything you need is included.

Transfer My PC: Move your data & applications in one easy step

+£25.20
Replace My PC: Transfer, Backup and Erase your data & applications in one easy package

Do you think these service options are something worth considering for somebody who isn't the greatest PC expert in the world, or an unnecessary expense?
Thank you.

In the good old days when I bought a new Dell they'd send a man round who'd do as little as possible in as short a time as possible, but if you pestered him he'd eventually transfer everything over to the new machine. Last time I bought a new Dell they sent some software & a cable similar to what you describe. I followed all the instructions as best I could, I'm not the greatest PC expert in the world either, & it totally cocked up everything. I now have a tame young lad who lives nearby & I call him at these times.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Windows easy transfer isn't available on win 10 but through MS you can get Laplink PC Mover Express for £10.95

To be honest, part of me is dreading having to buy a new laptop.
I've had my Dell laptop since 2009 (my first one) and, apart from the odd hiccup) it's worked fine, and has catered more than adequately to my, albeit, simple needs, namely surfing the net, emailing, banking, making the odd online purchase, etc.
I know my next PC will have a Windows 10 operating system, and I'm a little apprehensive about what that will entail, with the problems that appear to attend the download of Windows 10 updates.
That said, I don't get any updates anymore with Vista! :o
    I suppose I'm like a lot of people - I just don't like change.
