TA, Jon Lee played Frankie Valli when we saw the Jersey Boys in London, he was brilliant!

Well, yesterday went pear shaped for me. I went and got the parcel waiting for me at M & S and saw DiL for a while, but by lunchtime I was in agony with stomach cramps, I was freezing and had a headache. I spent the rest of the day in bed and now feel like a worn out dishrag, stll got the cramps and a temp but hopefully I'll feel a bit better through the day. DH has stayed home because we have someone coming from a charity shop to look at taking one of our redundant settees.. The other is hopefully going to DS but will live in the study until they decide.

DD and her DH are flying to India today, they have wangled 1st class tickets so I hope they have a good flight. I hope they have time to relax and enjoy themselves after going through a very stressful few months. He is coming back to a new job and the magazine she works for part-time has been sold so they both have leaps into the unknown when they come back.

JackieO, I hope things aren't too sad at your DD's. LW I'm sorry you are feeling so low, please keep posting, although I know it's difficult. TA, I'm glad Mr TA is more comfortable and Lainey's DM as well.

Morning all, thanks for the thread nmlc xx

Later post from me as I have two days annual leave yippee! Today I will go with DH to aldi and get food for the week plus some ambient bits for Christmas (pickles etc) I'm off again on Friday so will buy the fresh stuff then.

Camelot - your visitor today made me think of the joke about the nuns and the blind man. Thank you for making me chuckle - I haven't had much to chuckle about lately.
    Jackie - hugs xx
Tru - owwwww to the tooth xx
Lainey - hugs to you and mum xx

My previous boss texted yesterday to say that the board of directors had decided to pay me a Christmas bonus of £50. I will be penning them a thank you message today.

Last Christmas present should be delivered today, plus I have one to pick up from the convenience store up the road, to save on p&p. Need to get wrapping :/

Hope you all have a great day
    Coxy xx

Thanks for the carol Tru, hugs to all those who are ill, stressed or tired.
I was awake and reading from 1 until 5 this morning dropped off and the my alarm went off at 6:30, leapt out of bed as I could see the orange flashing light of the dustbin lorry, managed to catch them and give them a Christmas box.
Made my L&M a cuppa, when I took it to him he said 'I've not closed my eyes all night, I'm exhausted'
I told him that he must have been snoring whilst he was awake then!
I managed to get to the sorting office just after 7, collected a parcel but it's not something I ordered so I'll sort that out this afternoon.
I went from the sorting office to DD's collected the DGD, brought them home, made my L&M some breakfast and a packup, then took him to work.
I'm just having a cuppa and then I will do some ribbon weaving with the DGD's, after lunch we will go and collect the other DGD from school take them all to their house and wait there until their Mum gets home.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all,

Been up a while but by the time ive made poorly dog his porridge an given his pills half the morning has gone, he ate a bit of porridge this morning, but wont eat any of the expensive things my sister sent up, all he seems to want to eat is Evie's tinned dog food :rotfl: I don't mind as long as he eats something !

Got a towel wash on the go and I will hang it out for a while later its a beautiful sunny day here, I am going to start my cleaning today I shall start on the downstairs loo and utility and kitchen cupboards. I am hoping that if I deep clean it now it will just need a flick over later in the week.

Hugs to all in need xx

    Have good days all xx

  • Afternoon all,
Still plodding through my last few work days before the Christmas break.
It'll be lovely to have a lie-in and pj day!
Unfortunately our little dog is unwell, it started yesterday, she became very lethargic and lost her sparkle- still eating and drinking tho so thought i would give her 24 hrs before going to the vet. This morning she is a little more lively but i have noticed her glands around her neck her swollen so off to the vet today. Praying it isn't anything serious!

Have good days everyone. Stay safe and warm xx

 to the tooth but glad you are feeling more comfortable and can eat things more easily.

    LW

Hope you are enjoying your furry guests and that their company is helping.

I woke up at five and realised I had not put out the wheelie bin so put a coat on and dragged it out then went back to bed. I noticed the neighbour across the road had lights on so I was not the only one up. I had to answer the door to a couple of deliveries and need to be in to collect food deliveries tomorrow and Thursday as well as pop out for a few extras.

There is some home made stew to freeze and I need more bread
so will nip out hoping not to miss deliveries as I have dds using my address for parcels etc.

    Hugs to all

After a lovely morning the start of the gales has arrived, with a vengeance. I've got the fire going already.

This morning I seem to have done loads - went into town for a little shopping, got the last couple of presents including one for me which slipped in. I've got a beef korma bubbling away in the slow cooker. Done a washing load now in the spare room with the dehumidifier chugging away.

Brought in logs for the fire. Moved some unwanted wood from the passageway between the farmyard and my back garden as the new chest freezer may have to come in that way. There's six tups in the farm steading who all just glared at me and moved away quickly - as if I was going to go near them!

And finally took a birthday present up the hill to my friend. His birthday is tomorrow but I have to stay in for delivery. He and his wife were taking their little boy to the docs so left the present handing on the door handle.

I had a brainwave about a present for my DM - a styling session at JL. She's always talked about it so when I ran it past her this morning she was really pleased. We'll organise it after Christmas.

My family in Berlin are all safe. They don't tend to go into the middle of the city much these days as they moved out to a former East Germany area a few years ago. My cousin used to live right on the K'damm though not too close to the attack area. Dreadful times.

I've found my perfect wine so got stocked up for Christmas yesterday.

Now I'm going to watch a couple of recorded TV programmes with a large cup of tea. No biscuit!

It could be that he's seeing Evie eating and enjoying her food, so he feels it's ok to have some of the same. If it gets nourishment down his neck, it can only be a good thing.:o

Healing vibes on the way to Honeybee's woofer, while I'm at it.

  • Quick evening post, I have been given tomorrow off so now have finished work until next year.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
