Affordable accommodation in/near Worthing??

We have to go to a funeral in Worthing in mid January. There will be 4-6 of us who need self catering accommodation for 2 or 3 nights.
Looking at holiday houses they seem VERY expensive, any one any ideas?
Annoying thing is the Google adds say from £37 a night for a place but when I go to book it is more like £190!!!!!!

are you sure it's not quoting per person/for single rooms ? £37 a night for somewhere accomodating six people seems unfeasible, but is probably the going rate for a Travelodge room...
