Post Office Strike - Royal Mail Question

I saw an article somewhere (which I now can't find) that said there was a chance that Royal Mail would not collect mail from Post Offices that were open but whose staff were on strike.
There was a suggestion that RM staff would consider that strike breaking.
I can't see a reference to it anywhere. I tend not to use Post Offices to drop off post any more but it would save me an hour or so to do so tomorrow. Any info would be appreciated.

  • I read similar in either the Times or Telegraph. I found this:

The situation now looks set to be worse than anticipated with 1,000 postmen and women from Royal Mail expected to refuse to cross the picket line and collect from the strike-hit branches.

It just means that post won't be collected from 3% of the post offices in the UK. No effect for the majority of people.

Just don't use a Crown post office for your posting. There are 10700 others. One must be close enough to use

The two I usually use are Crown post offices, the local one is one of the few closed ones. Two other local ones are tiny and I doubt I'd be doing them any favours by dropping off a couple of hundred packages that they won't get paid for.
    RM depot it is then.
