Yahoo notices

I'm using an iPad mini and my main email account is a yahoo one

Over the past week I've been receiving notices from yahoo informing me that I got a new answer to my question. Problem is I hadn't posted a question. I have in the distant past but these are answers to questions I never posted

Any idea what's going on and how to stop it

Is there an attachment that "contains" the answer to your "question" possibly with a zip extension.

I had a notification from SomeOne @ Yahoo . Netcom about a supposed delivery of a parcel. instead of stating the delivery date in the text of the mail I was supposed to open a zip attachment to learn when I could expect delivery.
