Hi all, quick query for you...

just changed insurance company after 5 years and all has gone through but they haven't asked me for proof of ncd. on the email I got from them it states that I *may* be asked. Can they check this online now? I changed from Morethan to Hastings Premier if that makes any difference.

Not worried as I have proof if I need to supply it, was just wondering why I hadn't been asked to send it.

I went to more than with 20 plus years no claims. Despite not losing any I've only got 9 now.

They can contact your previous insurer to get confirmation, it seems some do, some don't, and some ask for a copy to be either uploaded on their site or emailed to them.

Some only ask if/ when you have to make a claim.

If they haven't requested it, you're probably ok but personally I'd contact them and ask if they need it, just to be on the safe side.
Occasionally horror stories of cancelled insurance due to a "mix up" (to put it politely) You definitely don't need that.

Rang them up, all background checks were done online and they have confirmed the ncd with the previous company so all is well
