Replacement Sky remote?

The 7 & 8 buttons in my Sky remote is no longer working.

Can I simply order a replacement Sky remote from Ebay?

Do I need to "program" it upon receipt?

I don't have active Sky subscription. I get free channels using my existing Sky box (after subscription expired).

You'll need to programme it to your TV but other than that no issues

sky sell them direct , usually works out cheaper than eBay by the time you add on delivery.

Available in plain or with famous themes like Frozen or StarWars.

They're the same remote, the Everton one's cheaper purely because you have to put up with the embarrassment of the Everton badge.

There are cheaper ones on ebay anyway with free postage:

Asda and Argos both sell them at £20 if you need it now. Just make sure you have the correct one. There's a rev number inside the battery compartment:

Most of the big name supermarkets sell them and they used to be the same as the from Sky price, but I haven't checked for ages. They are cheaper than £19.99 from Tesco Direct (various outlets).
