I personally use it every other day. I don't do it every day as not all transactions show but I have the class app on my phone and so if I update it every two days, I can see my budget at a glance. I do this because I have severe spending issues, so if it said I had money to spend I'd spend it! Updating it often allows me to be in control
But others update weekly, especially if they've kept a spending diaryMoney money money.

I use it everytime I make a transaction, mainly through the the app. I use the web version to input funds, but spending is mostly tracked through the app.
Thanks for the heads up about changing the currency, mine is stuck on dollars, not the end of the world but if I can change it I will.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
I also use it every time I make a transaction, through the app if I'm out and about or the web interface if I'm at home. I have all my DDs and my salary on scheduled transactions so they just need approving when they fall due,
I don't have a problem with the web interface and given the amount of cash it's saved me by making me focused I don't begrudge paying an annual sub either.“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”

I have stuck with YNAB4 which I much prefer and use it every day. However it isn't clear how much longer the apps will work as no further updates will take place in 2017.0

I'm a little worried as tonight it doesn't seem to work beyond the end of December. It was working earlier but now some of the figures are not carrying forward. I'm hoping it's just a temporary glitch.0 -
Embrace the new version folks, I wasn't going to bother and also stick on YNAB4 but my OCD got the better of me as I like the latest and greatest so tried it again. Within a week I liked it, now I love it. It's poor for forecasting because you can't make future payments live until they happen so I do use a spreadsheet for this, but everything else is as good if not better than before. And being a cloud app it just works on your computer or your phone.0

I have used nYNAB since July. It's helped me to pay off my overdraft, save an EF and budget each month.
It did take me a while to get my head around the whole thing but now I love it. I'm also a member of the Friendly YBAB Facebook group which is great for asking questions and sharing budgets etc
I couldn't manage without it now!0 -

Which aspect don't you understand?
For me it's like having a load of envelopes and when you get paid you allocate some money to each envelope ready and waiting.
When you've done your food shopping for the week you tell YNAB that you're taking £52.34 out of the £200 you've set aside for food.
You go out for a meal and it comes to £24.50 you tell YNAB that you've spent that out of your £100 eating out budget...and so on.0
