Help To Buy Lodger Rules

Currently looking to buy a help to buy property and was wondering if a lodger is allowed under the help to buy T&Cs. I've looked at it and it clearly states buy-to-let and subletting is not allowed but a lodger with their own room with no lock on the door and sharing all other spaces is not explicitly ruled out and is legally not subletting your property.

I have the income to support the purchase without a lodger but definitely makes a nice extra income stream.

    maybe you should ask them
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Well then if they didnt want a lodger they'd have mentioned it, so go ahead, as as said, how would they know anyway? Worst case in the unlikely event they find out and they dont like it, ask them to point out where in the Ts&Cs it says, worst worst case you've had income from a lodger for a while.
