Groupon Goods

I purchased a 2 + 3 sofa from Groupon (cost £449.00 a saving of 50%) in August 2015, the sofa's have sagged in the middle, the fabric on the seats are wearing thin, and the wooden frame is pushing through the material on the back. Is there anything I can do?

Have you approached Groupon ?
I have contacted Groupon, and this is their reply :-
Thanks for getting in touch.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused, unfortunately guarantee period for this product passed on the 05.08.2016, so there is nothing I can do to help you.
If there's anything else I can help you with, please don't hesitate to let me know.
I thought I may be covered under the 1979 Sale of Goods Act?0 -

Is indeed sale of goods act 79
Your argument will be that the goods are not satisfactory quality (not durable) and as such you are seeking a remedy.
Due to how long since you bought the product though you have the burden of proof.
If Groupon wont accept liability, you need to prove the sofa is not satisfactory - usually you would do this by way of an independent report assessing the sofa - showing that the fault is not normal wear and tear or misuse.
If you can show, you can seek redress.
In the first instance expectation that you give them an opportunity to provide a repair or replacement. (Free to you and in a reasonable amount of time)
The guarantee is now irrelevant0 -
Assuming you paid by credit card, or other credit, does the consumer credit act apply to this transaction or are Groupon like PayPal a money intermediary that defeats rights under the CCA?0
