I don't post a lot here on mse, but i DO lurk!
Anyway, for anyone else about to put their house on the market, feeling nervous and reading everything they can get their hands on about the state of the housing market (ie me two weeks ago!).
My house has been on the market for 10 days, i've had two viewings and two offers at the full asking price... and there are still people who want to view as 'back up'.
I wasn't greedy, I think the house is fairly priced.
I appreciate that an offer isn't a sale until it's done and dusted, but it's been such a shock to me since a lot of the stuff i've read has been so negative - a happy shock!

I think your post illustrates a point that others have made on this subject, that we don't all have the same market conditions when it comes to house prices. While some areas are experiencing falling prices and stagnation others are still affordable and a fairly priced house will still sell quickly.0
