Advice on bathroom taps.

Apologies for asking such as basic question but I want to make sure I buy the right thing.
Our bath mixer tap leaks when in use and isn't very secure on the bath as it can move around. This makes me concerned that water could be flowing down behind the bath panel causing damage over time. The matching basin mixer tap has a lot of limescale so I was thinking I might as well replace both. I couldn't see anything similar at B&Q or Home base, so I've gone online and the most similar seems to be the Bristan Prism one hole bath filler. This is hundreds of pounds so I want to make sure I order the right thing.
What do I need to consider apart from it being 1 hole and no waste lever? Could I order some other cheaper 1 hole bath tap without it being a problem, although there aren't many as most seem to be two? Will a plumber fit this for me or do they prefer to order parts themselves?

Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Most taps and waste are of standard size in the UK so you should be fine with whatever you buy.
Obviously price vary and so does the quality. Don't expect a cheap water mixer to work as well as a more expensive one but at the same time, not all expensive ones are great.
We also have hard water and limescale, though we have a filter to reduce it.
A plumber (or you) should be able to fit it without problem, a while ago a bought a basin/cabinet combo on Amazon cause it was on special and the plumber fit it for me with no issue at all.EU expat working in London0 -
You need to consider how many holes you have in the bath. If you currently have two holes, you will need a tap with two holes. You also need to consider the pressure of water that is available so your tap suits your situation. For example mains or tank fed.0

You could go to old fashioned plumbing shop in your high st and buy like for like...
The new taps are really fiddly to put in.
Ive done both and the old fashioned ones looked ok and much cheaper .
Up to you tho, good luck“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

My plumber will either fit what you supply or get it for you. If the one you have is just loose & leaking he may be able to fix that for you in no time. I'd get the plumber round first, but then I know a good plumber.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Are you def sure it's only one hole for the bath tap as most aren't
I buy most of the taps I fit from screwfixI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
