too expensive.
I've got 2 x 2GB PC2 4200 lying around. I can sell you for £10 + delivery if you interest.0 -

DDR2 memory is a ridiculous price considering it's "old tech", modern stuff is DDR4 and is cheaper than DDR2! the only cheap stuff is on Ebay from China, I bought 4 x 4Gig sticks of DDR2-800 for my AMD mobo for about £25, first lot did not work (and crashed the PC) 'cos it was made from 128Mb chips which my mobo does not support, second lot made from 256Mb chips - I've taken 2 of them out and replaced with my original 2Mb sticks, still getting BSOD 3 or 4 times a day, can't be bothered aTM to pull the machine apart and try running with just the original 2x2Mb sticks.
BTW, all 4 of the Chinese sticks pass the Win7 memcheck!0 -

We don't know the type of pc this is going in.
If it was me, just for browsing etc nothing critical, I'd buy 2nd hand from ebay.
I'd make sure the seller regularly sold computer stuff and had top feedback.
As long as they're not selling the odd computer part along with all sorts of general tat I'd chance it.
I may be lucky, but I've got away with it several times.
A very rough search of completed listings, because some of my filters have disappeared.
