But I can't go without letting down a customer of my new business. Can't get through to the jcp.

I don't understand why they sent a letter out with such short notice. I went into the jcp last week and gave plenty of proof of trading for my universal credit application. They took copies and it's all filed in the office.

Will they sanction me if I don't go in? I feel priority should be for my customer who was booked in over a month ago.

Could you find someone to deliver a note to them?

    So your options are:

Keep telephoning JCP until you get through.
Put off your customer until after you have been to the JCP.

What was the date of the letter? Was it sent before you showed them your proof? If so you can safely ignore it.
  • I sent an email to them. Have yet to hear back but I did notify them before the appointment so hopefully my payments won't be stopped. It's annoying that they gave so little notice and didn't phone or email to give me warning.
