slide show maker?

I've been asked to do a slide show for a work colleague that is leaving but I can't seem to find one that does it like Facebook has with these fancy ones that pop up.

I've downloaded one on a trial photovidshow which is ok but was hoping to find something a little better that wont break the bank or require C++ coding ability to us it.

Can anyone recommend any that look great?

    you can build a slideshow using powerpoint, do you use Office?

    Power point is enough for that... and you can create a beautiful slide show... you can buy some slideshow work on codecanyon.net
