    Good morning!
Had to pop to town yesterday to run a couple of errands so had a busy day. Still feeling bleurgh - this colds lingering but fortunately DS seems to have escaped so far. Not run either as I can't breath! Feeling so frustrated.

Popped into Boots and they'd also reduced some medium Yankee candles to £5.70 - managed to pick a couple up using my points which will be stashed away for Christmas pressies. Getting organised :rotfl:

Had to go to the vets to pick up meds and a prescription. Will have to leave these on my account for now as money is very tight and still 3 weeks to payday  - fortunately we get 30 days interest free so it'll just tip the payment into next pay day and since it's a few months supply I've got a couple of months to make sure the money's there for the next lot.

eBay account is looking healthy - currently up to £48. Will leave it there for now in case it's needed later in the month - hopefully they'll be some left over to pay off the very account.

Hoping for a nice low spend day today. Got playgroup with DS and then need to post more eBay parcels, but other than that just a lazy one round the house.

Right best get moving - have a good day x

    Good morning!
Been a couple of days since last update. Not a great deals changed! Had a few more eBay sales meaning the account is now sat at £87.75 -itching to use it for paying the very account, but know that given how tight things are going to be over the coming weeks, best to leave it be for now just in case.

Lovely day with DS yesterday - a trip to the park which he loved. Was hoping it'd tire him out but he was lateish to bed and has been awake since 5:30 this morning :rotfl:

Did a quick food shop £46 spent. Need to make some soup for lunches this week to save me spending.

Hoping to get out for a run later. It's been almost 2 weeks since I last ran as I've been struck down with this horrible cold / virus. Still feel rough but need to attempt a little run for my own sanity!

Yes bobarella! Managed 3.8 miles - unfortunately I chose a cross country route and hadn't accounted for the amount of rain we'd had - it was very messy!!!! Good fun though and feel so much better for having done it! Breathings still not fantastic after this virus but I survived.

eBays been very kind to me and I've had a few very good sales meaning that my sales accounts now at £150. Also noticed that I've potentially over budgeted on petrol by a tank (£70) and the food account had more in than I'd first thought, so fingers crossed they'll be some money left to pay some of the very account off. On the (slightly) downside, there was an error on the prescription I colllected from the vets - rather than a repeat, they've given me one for three boxes in one go, meaning rather than spending £60 I've had to spend £180. The extra two boxes have come off the OD for now, but I've budgeted in to pay them off next month, so just a short term thing. It does mean that my vet bill budget should remain largely untouched for the next couple of months which means it'll go a long way towards paying for the jabs and teeth due in May ~£220.

Need to check car insurance dates, as fairly sure these will be due soon. I try to pay off annually as it cuts our monthly outgoings but will need to check prices and what wiggle room we have in the budget. Our new mortgage rate should kick in this month which will save us £170 a month so I'm hoping this will cover half the insurance - if I remember rightly we usually pay around £300 a year each.

Right, I'm going to check if my trainers have recovered - if they have the woofs are in for a quick 2k, if not wellies it is!

    Have a good day x

Yay! Mortgage has moved onto its new rate saving £170 per month :j we're fixed for 10 years, as a - the rate was fab and b- unless we win the lottery and can afford a house with land we won't be going anywhere!

Been refunded for an eBay purchase that never arrived, so another £7.50 in the PayPal account.

Two days off now and do I need it! Rough couple of days at work, really going to have to do some thinking there. On the one hand I'm paid well for part time and my field is quite specialised so not many jobs come up locally, but I'm really struggling with putting on a happy face there. We'll see how it goes......

    Morning!
Don't want to tempt fate but things are ticking along quite nicely. 12 days to get through until payday. There's money in the food account, enough in the bills account to cover everything and £160 in my eBay.

Despite this, overpayments are going to be minimal. 2 of the ponies need the vet this week, one potentially for bloods which won't be cheap :( but if that's what he needs that's what he'll get. As suspected, OH car insurance is due beginning of March. Quotes are coming in at just over £300. For the past couple of years we've paid this upfront, but to be fair it's never really done us much good as we've had to rob peter to pay Paul. Monthly payments are looking at about £28 a month, working out at about £30 more expensive per month. Begrudge paying the extra, but may well be worth it to make life a bit easier for us.

Need to get out for a 10k today. Need to get covering some distance. Half marathon is 6 weeks away and whilst I'm fairly confident I can cover the distance (did 12 miles a few weeks back) I know if I don't put the training in it won't be comfortable or enjoyable.

Quick Aldi shop needed today, shouldn't be too expensive, just some fruit, veg and fresh bits for the week.

Right best get cracking. Have fun x

Thanks Bobarella! Kettles always on, time to drink it on the other hand :rotfl:

Had an amazing day sale wise yesterday. After waking up to the £5 sale, another £42 worth sold throughout the day :D needless to say this has gone straight off cc3. Progress is being made.

In other news, it was weigh in night last night - I've put on another 2lb :o sooooo cross with myself . Need to get back on it in a big way. 1st 1lb to go! Will sit and meal plan later today.

I'm just about to drag myself out for a 5k and then to do the ponies. Have a good day x

    Morning

One for you?:hello::coffee: I make my hot drinks and wack them into a travel mug, which is safer with little ones around to knock into them, and keeps warm for ages. Win win :D

Fab idea Bobarella! I like it!

So, I well and truly tempted fate! Vets been 2 lots of bloods, a local anaesthetic and anti biotics. If I budget for £300 anything less will be a bonus! Plus side, I do get a month to pay, but will also need to include the £80 for meds earlier in the month. Looking at the budget i think best course of action is to pay OH car insurance monthly and use that money to cover the bill.

Got out for a 8.5 miler at the weekend which was great. Need to plan in 10 I think for this weekend. Determined to make it round this half marathon!

Getting so impatient with this debt busting lark. I want it gone!!! Just feel like it's holding us back so much. So much to do with the house but it all costs money. I'm trying to focus on the little positives, like being in the countryside and able to go on endless free walks with little man, the fab parks we have on our doorstep. The debt didn't happen over night so I know it's not going to vanish overnight (especially now I'm working part time). Need to focus on what's important, i.e. Our little family.

    Sorry for the moan......

Don't be sorry. That's what this place is here for. It is slow going a lot of the time. But we will all get there in the end.
