    That is so shocking, yes you deserve a huge compo payout. In fact Ryan air should offer you free flights for life, refund the ticket price and execute several of the maintenance staff publicly. Would that make the near death experience a bit more bearable?

    In order for a discrimination claim to be valid it must relate to a protected characteristic, compo claimers are not a protected group. Airlines are free to ban anyone they wish for non discriminatory reasons.
    I agree but this doesn't mean that people wouldn't attempt legal action and I'm sure that there will be some lawyers willing to take on a few test cases.
    If an airline did start refusing tickets to people who had attempted to claim in the past, it would only be a matter of time before someone who was black, disabled etc to claim that this was the reason for them being refused service.
