My washing machine (Hotpoint Ultima WF860) suddenly stopped 10 mins from the end of wash. The screen is flashing F-08 which I have never seen before!I have found nothing in the trouble shooting section of the instruction book. I have switched off and tried again, to no avail
Can anybody please help?

its a heater fault .
you have to go to the shop and the shop has to arrange a engineer to fix the fault if youve had the washer for so many years

Thank you both for such rapid responses.
I could not find the cost (ball park) of repair/replace faulty parts, any idea?0 -
Do you know how to drain the device? Always a good start & less heft & delay when the engineer gets to you.0

No idea :eek:0 -
Have a look here
All the way down the page at How to drain the washing machine. You probably Do have a small drain, but it'll be pretty much at floor level so dig out a largish bowl & try to drain into that (I get a child to pinch the tube shut between emptyings - but whatever is used to keep it shut Will go back in!)
It's quite satisfying getting the water out. You don't feel *quite* as frustrated/helpless!0 -
Give Hotpoint a ring, they'll tell you how much.

Parts could be included depending on age (the machine, not you) & whether you registered it, they'll probably be able to tell you.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
I have found someone to fix the problem if I can get the part.
Can any of you recommend an online site where I can buy WM parts?0
