Help please -best for no or low standing charge?

Does anyone have any recommendations for energy firms with no or low standing charge? Many thanks.

Looking at the figures I compiled recently it would appear that for duel fuel deal the best in terms of "no or lowest " standing charge would be from Extra Energy with Gas @ 3.68p/day and Electricity @ 14.69p/day. If you prefer not to use the same supplier for your fuel you could use Extra Energy for Gas and Co-op Energy for electricity at 10.430p/day.

You need to perform a search and put in your estimated yearly usage to find out who will be better suited to supply your gas and electricity. You need to look at the total cost not just part of it.

What works for one person may not work for another.
Also check using different suppliers for gas and electricity as dual fuel isn't necessarily the cheapest option.

Ebico used to be the one with no standing charge .
But worked out a lot more expensive for many unless you where a very low user.

Consult a comparison site to find the best deal for you

Some sites, such as the CEC, allow you to filter results to only show tariffs that have a zero standing charge ... although I would advise against this; show the lot and whatever is cheapest for you will be at the top.

Last time I checked, there were 4 different electricity suppliers that had zero standing charge tariffs, and 2 of those were cheaper than Ebico for the supply region I looked at
