Hannspree tv getting errors

Hi can anyone help - our Hanspree 32" tv is around 5 months only and has started to suddenly switch to a blue screen when you are in the middle of watching something - the blue screen then shows some gibberish characters/letters in the top right screen. We have to then manually switch back to scart1 with the remote.

It does this around 3 times a week - any ideas? :T

  • Thanks guys - just wondered if you knew a quick fix before I make the call - the error happened again and very annoying - we now know what to press but surely the tv shouldn't be doing this...

By a strange co-incidence after my reply I have seen this on my JT02 37 inch model as well on HDMI.

It has happened on Sky HD but not on my PS3.

It maybe HDMI cable related but I haven't got around to trying a new one yet.

Hi all when I called the company who does the repairs they said I'd have to pack up the telly myself and be without it for 10 days whilst they 'upgrade the software' in it. No chance - 1) I don't have the bubblewrap/box for such a large telly 2) don't want to stay in all day waiting for a courier as would have to take a days holiday and 3) most obvious - don't want to be without a telly for 10 days! We'll put up with the error... ps: we have Virgin Media - but from what the guy said it's more of a software upgrade thing.
