That depends entirely on that particular warranty.livenlearn wrote: »Does anyone know what happens if say person A bought an item say a TV with either a 1 year warranty or an extended 3 yr one but after 6 months then sold the TV to person B is the warranty still valid?
Some warranties are not transferable.
You need to read the warranty documentation to decide what's what in your particular circumstance.0 -
Usually not, but some items are, read the terms of the extended warranty. Your don't usually have any protection at all when you buy second hand goods from a private seller.0

If person B knows person A, they could ask if person A will claim on the warranty.
If person B has the original proof of purchase, and the warranty didn't depend on registration in person A's name, it may still be possible for person B to claim as the company won't know who actually purchased the product originally0
