hi, can anyone advise is it worth going back to the shop, exactly 1 year today that my Xmas lights have stopped working, i bought them last year 17th dec, used for 2 weeks put away till last week, been up and running for a week till today, the lights just stay static, as suppose to flash up and down.
Have got the receipt and all packaging cost £40

Phone the supplier & discuss the matter before taking them anywhere! A landline call is probably cheaper than the busfare & if it saves you hassle?

Have they actually stopped working altogether, or just stopped working in the way you want them to?
Have you checked to see if there's a function switch on the wire or power supply that may have had it's setting changed? Many Christmas lights, cheap or expensive, have multiple light options, permanently on, flashing, trailing...0 -

i phoned up first thing this morning and explained that there are 'chasing effect lights' just staying static, and only bought last year and used for 2 weeks and been up for just a week and stopped working, they were ok great about it and apologized and said bring them back and they would exchange them.just finished putting them back up again :-)
