Buying from a car supermarket - can you haggle ?

iam looking to buy a new car - 2006 VW Jetta
Its advertised at £10999 at available car and motorpoint and other car supermarkets alebit slight differences in colour, milage and spec etc
having never bought from one of these before does anyone know if the price is fixed ? or is there a deal to be had by haggling like in normal garages ?
it seems like they are non-negotiable..

My understanding is that they won't haggle. Still you can always ask:D .

It depends how good you are at negotiating.

Are you buying cash or credit (arranged through them).

If cash you should be able to work a discount
If credit you should be able to work a discount on the interest rate.

Argue for a tax disc, EEC plates, and a full tank of fuel, and maybe they can arrange insurance at no cost or at a cost that beats your renewal.
A free first service etc etc.

And if you are trading in, DO NOT allow them to drop the buy price. Make sure you are given a reciept saying the actual values you have agreed.

Nothing wrong with a bit of old haggling Before buying on credit from them make sure the rate can't be beaten elsewhere (bearing in mind any savings/deal you negotiate, e.g. free servicing, etc.), read the article for more ideas:
