    Even when I have no progs running the memory used is still 40-50%

    The main culprit is:

    Microsoft.Photos.exe /PID4828/ Status:Suspended/ CPU 00

    Memory Private Working Set 171,176K This uses 3 times as much memory than anything else.

    You've probably already done this but have you disabled the photos app in startup programmes?
