I want to transfer 12k to my bank account .It is my aniversary period and I have to do it before my next statement date.I have a balance of £102.00 on the card from a transaction which missed the last statement by a day or so.The question is :If I make a payment of £102 before I transfer the cash and make the balance nil will I have to pay any interest on the next statement.If I am liable for interest will it be on the £102.00 or the full 12k.

Unless your statement date is the 1st of the month, are you sure that you have until 'next statement date' to do the transfer? My statement date was 23rd April, yet the anniversary period for funds out was April 1st to April 30th.

You should really get this confirmed - use secure messaging.

In regards to your £102, if you pay it off, wait until (online) your balance is zero, then transfer out your £12K, you /shouldn't/ incur any interest at all. Again, I'd check using secure messaging.

But more importantly, I'm sure that the 'anniversary period' runs from the start of the month you first got your card to the end of that month; the statement date (unless it happens to fall on the 1st) has nothing to do with it. Please double check this at least!
