Laminate floor / water leak concrete floor?

We have a possible problem with our kitchen laminate flooring or a possible water leak. There is a concrete floor with hot and cold water pipes embedded in it, with laminate floor insulation and laminate flooring above it.
For the last couple of weeks that there has been a particularly cold patch at one point in the floor. The cold patch is where the mains cold water rises from below before branching out (which is enclosed in concrete).
Today we saw that the laminate appears to be lifting at the edges slightly (see photo). Note : Water has not been spilled from within the kitchen.
We are worried that there may be a problem with a leak inside the floor itself, but don't really want to rip up the new kitchen floor to look at it unless we really have to.
We can hear what sounds like flowing water there (like the water flowing through heating pipes), but dont know if it's always been there or not.
Turning off the stop !!!! in the road outside and the central heating pump (just to be sure) does not stop the sounds of flowing water.
Does anyone have a professional opinion as to what the cause may be, or a suggestion of a possible course of action to investigate further?

No,no spills.
Still worried about the fact that we can hear running water under the floor, and there seems to be a cold patch.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Certainly looks like it could be a leak from somewhere. Did you use a damp proof membrane under the insulation?
Just wondering if the particularly cold patch could be condensation caused by the cold water pipe?
You don't want to hear this, but that bit of floor is ruined.
On the plus side, it appears to be close to the edge of the room and shouldn't be too difficult to lift to see what's caused it.0 -
Thanks for the response.
We did use a damp proof membrane, but it might be getting around or through it perhaps.
Don't think it is condensation - it has come up very quickly.
Might just have to get a builder to take a look at it and pull the floor up...:(
It is not close to the edge of the room, but to the cabinets, which I guess would all need pulling around to re-lay flooringSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Well, just as we were about to go to bed, about 1/2 hour ago,I said to my partner "That water sounds like it's getting louder".He said "No,it's just cos it's quiet."
When I kneeled on floor and looked closer, there is actually water seeping through a couple of the laminate floorboards .
We have turned off the stopcock in the street, water noise has stopped, now OH is about to try taking up some floorboards to see what is going on.
I know I sound really dumb, but what do we do now?My immediate thought was to contact a 24hr plumber,OH says there is no point at this hour.
This extension was only finished in February.Apparently under the floorboards is cement, under that is the pipes. How can this be fixed?
Do we get a plumber, ask builder to come back and assess, contact water company?
Any help would be much appreciatedSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
