To go from being accepted by only one bank for a non basic account to needing 'a good private banking arm' is an impressive financial turnaround! Maybe the OP could share some tips for the rest of us.

So do they have any other requirements, other than the bank remaining solvent and having a private banking arm? Unless they're busy recording, or on tour, they should probably be asking themselves on here, rather than you relaying things.

Have accounts with all the best...all are the same, some a bit slower,
for online banking :( but all workable !
Wouldn't say any are best, just use them for what you want....

    then close or switch

A bank what isn't likely to go bust

And one with a good private banking arm

What if the bank with the better private banking arm is the one most likely to go bust?

    Neither!
Used to bank with NatWest but wouldn't recommend them now. Never had Barclay's account.
They don't figure in my wallet
NatWest is part of the RBS group . Hasn't it been bailed out?.......... (along with others, of course!)

    Hi

None of the above as I don't bank with either of them. I doubt they'll go bust anytime soon.

Natwest already have that's why the taxpayer had to bail them out.

Barclays got pretty close but did some fancy dealing in the Middle East that pulled them back from the brink.

Barclays has Blue Rewards and good Mobile Banking and good security. When I was in Los Angeles they called me to make sure it was me buying Five Guys.
Five guys? Whose an energetic fellow then. ;)
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.
